Gbenga Julius Kugbenu is a distinguished professional with a multifaceted expertise and diverse interests. He currently serves as a Researcher, an Educational and Data Processing Officer at the Nigerian Navy Secondary School and as the Director of Membership and Information Protection at the Society of Energy Administrators of Nigeria

Gbenga is deeply passionate about empowering students to pursue careers in STEM fields and advocating for sustainable environmental practices through efficient energy distribution, utilization, and management. He is committed to leveraging data-driven solutions to address the complex challenges faced by energy, environmental health and ecosystem; soil and land resource conservation; food safety and security; microbial communities, and society at large.

Gbenga's impressive academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science degree in Botany with a special concentration on Environmental Studies and Palynology; a Professional Master of Science degree in Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing from the University of Lagos; and Postgraduate/ Advanced Diploma in Oil and Gas Operations and Production Management with distinction. He has also earned a Postgraduate/ Advanced Certificate in Data Analysis and Management from the University of Lagos and has completed various certification programs from the Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI).

As a renowned researcher and one of the lead members of the Society of Energy Administrators of Nigeria, Gbenga has authored numerous publications and serves as a fellow, reviewer, and member of various esteemed professional organizations both locally and internationally. His work has been featured in several prestigious journals, including the British Journal of Environmental Sciences; International Journal of Energy and Environmental Research; International Journal of Microbiology and Applied Sciences; European Journal of Science and Technology; Australian Journal of Science and Technology; European Journal of Nutrition and Food Safety, UK;
